The highest in West Java, Bekasi City’s UMK rose to IDR 5.9 million

SOUTH BEKASI, POSKOTA.CO.ID – The Bekasi City Government (Pemkot) ensures that the process of determining the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) and Regency/City Minimum Wage (UMK) for 2026 is transparent and in accordance with applicable regulations.

The Mayor of Bekasi, Tri Adhianto emphasized that his party will carry out its role according to the authority it has in the process of determining the Bekasi City UMR.

“By calculating an increase of 0.62 percent, the wages that will be received will be IDR 5,999,422, which is the highest minimum wage in West Java,” said Tri, Wednesday 24 December 2025.

Tri explained that before deciding on the UMR increase index, he had met with a number of labor representatives who expressed their aspirations regarding the certainty of an increase in the UMR for Bekasi City in 2026.

The meeting took place in the Press Room of the Bekasi City Government Office (Pemkot), South Bekasi District on Monday, December 22 2025.

Tri said that all aspirations expressed were used as material for evaluation and discussion in employment forums according to the stages that had been determined.

The number one person in Bekasi City emphasized that he and the ranks of the Bekasi City Government continue to be committed to opening a space for healthy dialogue between the government and workers.

“Labor aspirations are an important part of the process of formulating regional employment policies,” he said.

He also said that the Bekasi City Government would ensure that the entire process of determining the UMR was transparent and in accordance with applicable regulations.
