DEVELOPMENT, POSKOTA.CO.ID – Deputy Governor of Jakarta, Rano Karno confirmed that repairs to the landslide sheet pile on the banks of the Angke Hulu River, Jalan Jafar RT 06 RW 01 Kembangan Selatan Subdistrict, Kembangan, West Jakarta, will be completed by mid-January 2026.
“Thank God, I asked, it has been handled. The total length is around 20 meters,” said Rano at the West Jakarta Mayor’s Office, Monday, January 5 2026.
Head of the West Jakarta Water Resources Sub-Department, Purwanti, explained that river stone gabions were used to repair the sheet pile. The repair process started last weekend, Saturday, January 3, 2026.
The gabion work covers a length of around 20 meters with a height of around 4 meters. Technical work involves as many as 30-50 workers every day.

“If there are no problems with the weather, the work will take around 10 days. It will be completed no later than mid-January,” he said.
