JAKARTA, POSKOTA.CO.ID – The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will dismantle the monorail poles along Jalan HR Rasuna Said in the third week of January 2026. Dismantling the monorail poles will cost up to IDR 100 billion.
The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung emphasized that the Rp. 100 billion budget is not only for dismantling monorail poles, but also for area planning.
“I also want to clarify on this occasion, the Rp. 100 billion spent was not only to dismantle (monorail poles), but to make roads, sidewalks, tidy up and so on,” said Pramono during a pilgrimage to the MH Thamrin grave, Sunday, January 11 2026.
“That’s all for repairing the Rasuna Said road, the figure is Rp. 100 billion, not just demolition,” he added.

Thus, Pramono emphasized that the budget of IDR 100 billion for dismantling monorail poles was wrong. However, the budget is also intended to organize the area at that location.
“Next week, we will dismantle the monorail which has been abandoned since 2004 and tidy up the surrounding area. The budget used will not only be for demolition, but also for arranging roads, sidewalks and the environment as a whole,” he concluded.
