MBG Menu Allegedly Corrupted, Pati Residents Demonstrate SPPG

POSCOTACOID – A number of residents of Pati Regency, Central Java who are members of the United Tlogowungu Residents Alliance held a demonstration in front of the Tlogowungu Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) 1.

The demonstration took place on Friday, February 26 2026. Before heading to SPPG 1, the residents gathered first at Tlogorejo GOR, Tlogowungu District, then moved using pickup trucks.

The demonstration was motivated by allegations of corrupt practices carried out by SPPG Tlogowungu 1.

Residents accused the free nutritious meal (MBG) menu distributed in their area of ​​not meeting the proper standards.

Allegations of Buying and Selling Practices and Corruption

Quoted from the Instagram account @kerasakarrumput, according to residents, the implementation of MBG in their area looks more like the practice of buying and selling food and is not in accordance with the aim of providing nutrition for children.

Residents believe that the MBG distribution carried out by SPPG Tlogowungu 1 is being used by irresponsible parties as a means of corruption which only wastes the state budget.

This became known after parents and students who received MBG complained about the quality of the menu distributed at school.

Not only that, according to one resident’s representative, the amount of food distributed down to the nominal value of each meal obtained was not appropriate and was cheaper than the budget.

Residents said the demonstration was a form of criticism and conveying their opinions to the government to carry out a comprehensive evaluation of this program.
