SERANG CITY – The Serang City Government continues to encourage strengthening the local economy through unifying the ecosystem of business actors from various sectors. This commitment was emphasized by the Deputy Mayor of Serang, Nur Agis Aulia, in various economic development and MSME empowerment agendas in Serang City.
One of the steps recently taken is collaboration between the Serang City Government and the Serang City Tour program in building an integrated business ecosystem. This collaboration involves tourism businesses, hotels, MSMEs, tour and travel, and public transportation service providers in one platform to encourage joint economic growth.
Not only that, the Serang City Government also continues to collaborate with arts actors and MSMEs in establishing the Serang City Arts Market as an effort to drive the creative economy as a whole. The plan is that the art market will be held periodically in the Taman Sari Market area, Serang City.
According to Agis, collaboration between business actors is an important step in creating sustainable economic growth. So far, he said, there are still many business actors who operate independently without strong connectivity between the trade, culinary, tourism, creative economy and local community sectors.
He likened all this potential to pieces of a puzzle that must be put together to form a complete economic force.
“We want all business actors to be connected to one strong ecosystem. When MSMEs, creative communities, the tourism sector and service actors can move together, the impact will be greater on the economic growth of the people of Serang City,” he said.
Agis explained that the Serang City Government is committed to providing a collaborative space that is able to bring together various elements of business actors to create synergies and new economic opportunities. One of them is through regional promotional activities, creative economy festivals, and developing city tourism programs involving local MSMEs.
According to him, the unification of the business ecosystem also aims to expand the market for local Serang City products. With good collaboration, it is hoped that business actors can continue to develop, improve product quality and expand marketing networks.
“The potential of Serang City is very large. It’s just a matter of how we unite these strengths to support each other and create a healthy economic turnaround,” he said.
Apart from that, the Serang City Government also continues to encourage business digitalization and increase human resource capacity for MSME players so they are able to compete amidst modern economic developments.
He hopes that the synergy built between business actors can strengthen local economic identity as well as open up more job opportunities for the people of Serang City.
“If this business ecosystem is strong, not only will the business actors grow, but also the welfare of the community will also increase,” he said.
