SERANG CITY – Monitoring of the Nutrition Action program at SMAN 4 Serang City was lively and full of energy. The Deputy Mayor of Serang, Nur Agis Aulia, was present directly and mingled seamlessly with the students, creating a warm atmosphere full of togetherness.
The excitement peaked during group exercise accompanied by the song Ora Urus which was popularized by Toton Caribo. The energetic rhythm of the music immediately ignited the enthusiasm of all participants. Students, teachers, and even Agis looked united in following the gymnastics movements, making the school field filled with laughter, cheers and joy.
Not only active in physical activities, Agis also shows real concern for program implementation. In between monitoring, he was seen sitting cross-legged in the middle of the field with the students, tasting the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) menu directly to ensure the quality of the food served. This moment illustrates the closeness without distance between leaders and the younger generation.
The atmosphere became warmer when Agis was seen painstakingly feeding the students while having breakfast together. This spontaneous action was immediately greeted with enthusiasm and loud screams from the students who felt close to their leader.
“The important thing is that children are healthy, happy and enthusiastic. If their nutrition is met, their learning will also be optimal,” said Agis.
He emphasized that Aksi Bergizi is a strategic step in building superior human resources (HR) from an early age. This program includes breakfast together, regular exercise, and consumption of blood supplement tablets to maintain student health.
“The hope is that their bodies will become healthier and stronger, so that our next generation will be even greater,” he added.
This activity was also attended by a number of stakeholders, including the Head of the Serang and Cilegon UPT at the Banten Sadeli Provincial Education Service, Serang City SPPG Regional Coordinator Nuni, and the Head of the Serang City Health Service Ahmad Hasanudin.
As a form of joint commitment, an agreement was signed to hold a regular Nutrition Action every week through exercising together, having breakfast together and taking blood supplement tablets.
The excitement continued when Agis held an interactive quiz for students and teachers. The questions asked were immediately greeted enthusiastically, even the unique answers that emerged actually added to the cheerful atmosphere before the participants received their prizes.
On that occasion, Agis also explained the flagship programs of the Serang City Government, such as “Ready to Study, Ready to Work, Ready for Business” as an effort to open up future opportunities for the younger generation. He also reminded the importance of being wise in using social media and gadgets.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Serang City Health Service, Ahmad Hasanudin, said that the Aksi Bergizi program has been running since 2022 as an effort to improve students’ health and quality of learning.
He revealed, based on data for 2024, the anemia rate among young women in Serang City reached 33.1 percent, which has an impact on health and learning abilities.
“Therefore, consuming blood supplement tablets is very important to prevent anemia,” he explained.
With a lively, interactive and togetherness atmosphere, it is hoped that Aksi Bergizi will not only become a routine, but also become a culture of healthy living that is firmly ingrained among Serang City students.
