CIMAHI, POSKOTA.CO.ID – Cimahi Police have uncovered dozens of drug cases over the last two months. From operations in March-May 2026, members of the Cimahi Police Narcotics Unit uncovered 72 cases with 80 suspects.
Cimahi Police Chief, AKBP Niko Nurullah Adi Putra, said that this disclosure succeeded in saving around 150 thousand lives from the threat of narcotics.
The evidence secured included 458.77 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 236.06 grams of marijuana, 1,401.19 grams of synthetic tobacco, 266 ml of synthetic liquid, and thousands of certain hard drugs (OKT).
“Of the dozens of cases, there are several cases that are in the police spotlight,” said Niko at Cimahi Police Headquarters, Friday, May 8 2026.

In this case, a hotel security guard in the Setiabudi area, Bandung City, was arrested. He was determined to distribute synthetic tobacco narcotics at the guard post.
“The perpetrator is known to have purchased the illicit goods online via an Instagram account, then divided them into small packages to be resold via social media,” he said.
This illicit business is carried out through social media promotions and is said to have been operating for about a month in the West Bandung area. The transaction mode is that these dealers use a drop-in system or direct meetings.
“From the suspect’s hands, the police confiscated 33 grams of synthetic tobacco. In a month, the perpetrator is said to have made a profit of around IDR 2 million,” he said.

Apart from arresting the dealer, the police revealed that there was a synthetic tobacco home industry in the Lembang District, West Bandung Regency.
