BANDUNG, POSKOTA.CO.ID – Professor at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Achmad Tjachja Nugraha, assessed that the performance of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) throughout 2025 shows the country’s seriousness in fighting increasingly organized drug trafficking.
According to him, BNN’s strategy of combining eradication, prevention and rehabilitation is on the right track to protect the younger generation.
“The disclosure of hundreds of cases and dozens of drug networks confirms that eradication remains the main focus,” said Achmad, to Poskota in Bandung on Tuesday, February 4 2025.
According to him, under the leadership of the Head of BNN Komjen Pol. Suyudi Ario Seto, BNN has succeeded in uncovering 746 to 773 drug cases, while dismantling 42 networks.

“There were 1,214 suspects. A large amount of evidence was confiscated, including 4.01 tons of crystal methamphetamine and 2.17 tons of marijuana,” he said.
Not only taking action, BNN also strengthens prevention by developing 214 Shining Villages and reaching nearly 200 thousand residents through early drug detection.
“To date, 12,713 addicts have received rehabilitation services,” he said.
Achmad emphasized that drug users must be seen as victims who need to be saved through rehabilitation, not just punished.
He appreciated the leadership of the Head of BNN and the support of President Prabowo Subianto who pushed for the systematic eradication of drugs.
“With cross-sector synergy, the drug chain can be broken and the younger generation can be saved,” he concluded.
